Tibble Fork Lake

We were bored Sunday evening and decided that a much needed trip to the mountains was just the ticket, plus is still super hot and the cool mountain air sounded fabulous. I feel really guilty that we take these incredible mountains for granted. It only took us 30 minutes to get up there and it was so amazing. Annie came with us because she loves us and can't live with out us. =)
Hendrix loved splashing in the ice cold water and throwing rocks to his hearts content. We fed the ducks, checked out the dam and walked around the lake a bit. There were lot's of people fishing and camping... something else we need to do with Hendrix. Just add it to the list! We're hoping to go camping in the next little bit because Hendrix has never been (that would be my fault because I love showering too much to go camping.) Good times at Tibble Fork Lake though!

P.S- I special shout out to Annie for taking all of these pics! She's like a pro or something.

The air was kind of smokey from all of the camp fires.

This is Hendrix running out of the water after he put his feet in and realized how cold it was.

These 2 pictures are hilarious. He wanted NOTHING to do with taking pictures as you can tell by the expressions on his face.

 Happy boy!

Feeding the duckies. All we had was gold fish crackers... everyone loves gold fish, even ducks!

I love this picture because it shows how cute Hendrix's nose it. I'm so glad he didn't get my straight, boring nose.

Watching the "waterfall" aka the dam.

Some sisterly love goin on right here.

Meagan and Chloe come to visit!

My sweet sister in law Meagan and her baby Chloe came up to visit a couple of weekends ago. I'm so thankful Meagan took some pictures of Hendrix and Chloe together because I have ZERO pics of these two and we totally need to have some. They LOVED playing with each other and were so adorable together.

Here they are at Olive Garden for Denise's graduation party. Hendrix really wanted Chloe to sit on his lap even though they're roughly the same size. We were all impressed that Chloe cooperated and stayed there for so long. Aren't they so cute?

Brooke and her kiddos came up Saturday night for a bit. It was super fun to have almost all of the cousins together... poor Cash was stuck in Texas, BOO! I totally love this picture though.

Meagan snapped some pictures of the wedding cake and cupcakes she helped me with before we headed out the door. I stole these from her blog. Thanks again and again and again Megs, you're the best!

This is Judy's beautiful kitchen in complete distruction. Thank you SOOOOO much for letting me take over and detroy your kitchen Judy, you are the best!

Sisters Night.

Julie had to come up to Salt Lake on Thursday for a school outing and decided to stay over night. She didn't have Marcus with her and came up with the brilliant idea to have a sisters night. We were trying to remember the last time we went out as sisters with out babies or husbands and we couldn't even think of a time. That's pretty sad. We ate at Red Lobster (mine and Julie's favorite) where Julie gave us all snow crab cracking lessons. We're like professionals now. After dinner we hit up a Frogurt and lounged around while we ate our yogurt creations. Delish. I had so much fun and will always remember that night! I would die with out my sisters, I love them all so much. We missed Benny Boo Boo... maybe when he decides that it's cool to live in Utah, we'll have him come with us next time.

Moving on.

I hate bad days... and yesterday was a bad day. Late last night we realized that our 3rd attempt at IUI has failed. I went for a 7 mile run and thought long and hard about what we were going to do. I just wanted to run forever so that my emotions all became a blurr. I wanted to run until my knees started to shake and my muscles burned. I wanted to run away from it all and move on. While running I came to some conclusion in my head that I needed a break from all of the hormones, disappointment, anger and frustration. I need a very LONG break, one that I might not return from because I finally came to terms with the idea that we might only have one baby. And that's okay because he's the sweetest little boy in the entire world who's eyes sparkle like the twinkling stars in the sky. He's my best buddy and I love him from the depths of my beating heart. He makes me smile and that's all that matters.

If it's just the 3 of us for the rest of forever, then I will be happy and I will be grateful for my 2 handsome boys. I can feel myself moving on and letting go of the somewhat control I thought I had throughout this whole process. (This is where everyone says, "You wait and see... you'll get pregnant now that you aren't stressing about it." So let's just go ahead and skip those comments mkay? Thanks.) Now I look forward to a nice big house, Hendrix riding in the back seat of my cute little Audi, lot's of Disney Land trips and the best eduation for our son. Sounds pretty awesome right? "Table for THREE!" Yes please!

Cupcake Mania.

I'm not sure why I did this but I signed up to make 130 cupcakes and a wedding cake for Tasha's wedding. I thought I would be able to accomplish this by myself and in one day... what the *&%$ was I thinking??? Luckily my sweet in-laws let me use they're beautiful and very large kitchen to get all of the baking and frosting done. I have to give a very special shout out to Judy and Meagan for the hours of help that they gave me. They were there to wash my bowls, line cupcake pans, clean up, keep me sane, calm me down and even make me laugh every once and awhile. I will forever be in debt to them.
This would have been A LOT easier if so many things didn't go wrong, like...

1.My 9" round cakes stuck to the pan and were completely ruined resulting in a 2nd batch of wedding cake.
2.One of my cupcake pans burned the bottom of 2 dozen white cupcakes resulting in an emergency trip to Harmons for a new pan and another batch of white cupcakes.
3.I decided to try a new chocolate cupcake recipe which I deeply regreted later on. I doubled the batch and started sweating when I saw them spilling over the cupcake pans. This resulted in using another recipe (that I should have used in the first place) and wasting a ton of ingredients.

Other then that, the cupcakes turned out fabulous and the wedding cake even better! Tasha sent me a picture of how she wanted the cake to look and I think it turned out almost exactly like the picture. It's a 4 layered strawberry short cake with whip cream frosting. Delish!

Meagan and I were RUSHING to deliver everything on time and realized we hadn't taken any pictures. We grabbed my camera and took just a few pictures before getting on the road. Thanks Meg for making sure the cake arrived in tact and stayed cool enough.

Congrats to Tasha and Kevin on their marriage! I hope your special day was beautiful and your marriage even more beautiful. I'm glad I could be a small part of it all.

The only shot of the wedding cake... not such great lighting.

There was a banner on the cake in the picture Tasha sent me. We did our best to re-create it and did a pretty good job. The only difference is the font on the word "Love."

Chocolate with chocolate frosting. The cupcake liners are pink and green flowers.

Tasha requesed rainbow chip frosting... it's her favorite. I would have chosen something else but it wasn't my wedding.  =)

All loaded in Judy's BMW. There are more boxes on the back seat. 128 cupcakes total.

P.S- I will never do this ever again.

Comments Fixed!

A couple of people recently told me that they have a hard time leaving comments on my blog. I fixed it today so anyone can comment and it won't ask for your blogger ID. I've had the same problem with other blogs and it's super frustrating! Thanks for informing me.
