16 weeks

Pregnancy update! I haven't posted any updates on the pregnancy because I have a few friends who are having a hard time getting pregnant and I HATED reading blogs about people who were pregnant when we were struggling with infertility. I know that's a stupid readon for not blogging about something because this is MY blog and I shouldn't care what people think when they read it, BUT I have a soft spot for those people who are struggling to get prenant and I know how hard it is. Anyway.... the reason I'm doing this is because people keep asking if something has happened to the baby because they haven't heard anything. So here are some updates.

-We are 16 weeks pregnant now and have had 3 ultrasounds where we were able to see our little baby's heart beating just nicely.
-I had to switch OBGYN's because our insurance is changing in January.  I saw Dr. Froerer for our first 2 visits but will be seeing my old O.B, Dr. Nielson next week for our next visit. Our new insurance won't cover a delivery at IMC so we will be having our baby at St. Mark's.
-Hendrix thinks he's having a baby sister but the Chinese gender predictor calender says we're having a boy (which was right with Hendrix) so I guess we'll find out in 3 weeks. I have absolutely NO IDEA what it is.
-I was sick from weeks 6-12 but have been feeling awesome since then, just super tired all of the time.
-I felt our little guy move last week... it was awesome!
- We're due May 25th 2012.

I should probably post a belly pic since mine popped last week but I'm surrently in Jordan's shirt and pajama pants. Maybe tomorrow I'll get dressed and take a picture.   =)

Cash, Hendrix & Janson

Janson and Meagan came up this last weekend for Thanksgiving and to see Judd. They were here for 4 days and I only managed to take 4 pictures all in the same night. I'm lame, I know. I didn't even get a picture of cute Chloe.

Despite the lack of pictures... there was a lot of chaos, bonding, eating and trips to the Huntsman. We loved having you guys and miss you already!

Canevari Thanksgiving 2011

We celebrated Thanksgiving with my family the weekend before because Julie, Balta and Marcus were up here. It worked out nicely and we had lot's of fun. I brought my camera and started taking pictures but soon realized that my SD card was at home, in our computer. Hate when that happens. So I stole these from Wendy!

"Wow, that's a big spoon," hendrix says.

The kid table. Aren't they adorable?

 My Lovie.   =)

Funny story... when Jordan and I first started dating, he thought that Ben and Annie were dating too. lol!

Favorite picture EVER!

Yep, sickest picture of the night. I won the award.

This is usually what the boys are doing after evey meal.

And I just realized there were no pictures taken of Balta.. that's sad. Sorry Balta!

My little chatter box

Everytime Hendrix says something funny, I think to myself "I REALLY need to write that down." I never do and I always regret it. So I'm starting fresh today and writing down all of the funny stuff I can remember.

*Just this last week Hendrix has been wanting to color a lot. He has never been interested until now and I think it's adorable. Today he drew me a picture of a dinosaur and I said, "Oh buddy, I love it! It's so beautiful." He replied with "No Momma, it's not beautiful, it's cool."

*Lately he's been asking me "What's this called again?"

*Me: "Gross Hendrix, did you toot?" Hendrix: "No Momma, I farted."

*"Daddy, Hendrix have a baby in mine belly."

*"Whoopsie Daisy." "Oh shoot." "What is going on here?"

*"Mine food is in mine belly... see!"

*Whenever he spills ANYTHING he says, "It's okay, it will dry."

*I was upstairs the other day and asked Hendrix was he was doing. He said, "Mine laying on the tracks Momma. Mine sooo tired." So I came downstairs and saw this. lol.

*Last night I caught him sitting on his chair in this position. He didn't want to smile for me at first.

 Silly little boy!

*Lately he's been telling me that certain people are funny and certain people are not funny. "Brandon funny, Annie not funny, Haylie not funny."

*"It stinks like cows outside."

*Me: "What do you want for Breakfast Hendrix?" Hendrix: "Chocolate."

*Me: "Where going to Annie's work." Hendrix: "No, let's go to Annie's party."

*"My blanket is kind of like a dog."

I'm sure I"ll be adding to this list soon. Hendrix is such a chatter box and always comes up with something new to say that makes me laugh.

Blast From The Past!

Spencer Nelson posted this video on Facebook today and I just HAD to blog about it. This is my adorable husband more then 10 years ago performing in the school talent show with his buddy Eric Simper. I have heard so much about this "Lunch Lady Land" performance but had never actually seen it. It's crazy how young Jordan  looks but how he sounds the exact same, especially when he sings. I love him so much! This made my whole day FOR SURE!

Halloween 2011

I felt like Halloween was 2 weeks long this year. We had lot's of parties to go to and ended up eating way too much candy. Our first adventure was Hendrix's "school/play group" Halloween party. He refused to wear his Elmo costume and cried when I put it on. So he ended up wearing his UTAH jersey and going as a really cute football fan.

Friday afternoon we were excited to go to my Mom's work for a big in office trick-or-treating and spook alley attraction. This was really cool! My mom works for LDS family services and they dedicated one entire floor to a haunted spook alley, the yellow brick road (with balloon animals at the end), a spooky pumpkin walk with really cooled carved pumpkins and trick-or-treating. The boys absolutely loved it and wanted to go through the spook alley a second time. I thought they would be a little bit scared but I was wrong. We ended up leaving with lot's of candy and balloons. I was a tid bit grumpy due to claustraphobia/nausea but ended up having a great time! Thanks again Mom!

Saturday was out ward truck-or-treat which we ended up sluffing because Hendrix really needed a nap and Jordan was finishing up our fence (whoo hoo! We have a fence again). Later that night was Judy's big Halloween party where we play games, read stories, dance around the cupcake walk and eat get lot's of goodies. Hendrix had so much fun playing with his cousins and finding all of the hidden treasures. Thanks for all of your hard work Judy!

Monday. I had to take Hendrix to the pediatrician this morning because he was up all night with that stupid "barky" cough. I knew he had croup. He was too sick to be out in the cold for a long time so we ended up taking him to 5 or 6 houses and came back home to hand out candy. Hendrix loved running to the door the rest of the night to see all of the trick-or-treaters.

Here are a few pics from the Halloween weekend.

 Trick-or-treating at my Mom's work.

My cute Mom in her "skeleton chef" costume. I'm sad I didn't get a picture of Hendrix with her but we had already left. And look at those adorble ducks! LOVE THEM!
 Brandon as Harry Potter.

Annie dressed as a cute little witch! Hendrix snuck into the picture. lol.

Haylie the adorable bumble bee! I'm surprised I got this picture, she did not want to smile for anyone.

My fuzzy little Elmo. I could squish him right now!

Jaden and Brooke as characters from Angry Birds... freakin hilarious and quite impressive that Brooke made these all by herself! Good job Brookie!

And here is Brooke acting out level 1 in Angry Birds. I love them!

Cutest little bunch you've ever seen, right?

I'm lame and didn't take any more pictures this night. Jordan and I didn't dress up (and never do) but I'm sad I didn't get a picture of Hendrix with Judy and Judd. Next year I guess.....

A long journey with a very happy ending.

Remember how I blogged a few months ago about how I had finally come to terms with the fact that we might only have one child and how I finally felt at peace with our decision to stop our infertility treatments? Funny story......

A couple of days after my long/"come to Jesus" run, I had a dream. I had a dream about the most beautiful baby boy with blonde hair and big brown eyes. He was so real to me and I remember every second of my dream. You see, it had been over a year since I had any sort of dream about a baby and I thought it was kind of weird. I was in a good place, why was I dreaming about babies? I woke up after Jordan had already left for work and thought, "I'll have to tell Jordan about my dream later."

Two hours later, I get a phone call from Jordan at work. He proudly informed me that he was given an award for the last project he worked on they were giving him a bonus of $1,000. My heart skipped a beat and my mind started to race. Each insemination that we do costs $1,000. I immediately made a connection between my dream and this bonus and told Jordan everything that happened. Jordan came home that night and we had a long talk about what we were going to do. My body screamed, "No more" but my heart said, "This is an answer to your prayers, listen." Jordan finally convinced me that we should do ONE more insemination. We didn't want to pass the oppportunity up if this really was a sign from Heavenly Father and our one shot to finally get pregnant.

I called my infertility clinic the next day to see it if was even possible to start hormones this late in my cycle. My nurse replied with, "This is the VERY LAST DAY in any cycle to start any sort of hormone." I got my prescriptions lined up and jumped in. The next few weeks were the hardest few weeks out of the 4 months I had been on treatments. My attitude was not too great (I had serious doubts) and I felt miserable the whole time. I didn't want to get my hopes up but every step of the process seemed to be going perfectly.

On September 15th, I got a positive pregnancy test followed by a series of positive blood tests with rising hormone levels. Two weeks later we saw a heart beat and everything suddenly became real for me. I couldn't believe it. Two years of trying to conceive and it had finally happened. Words can't explain how we felt at that moment and how grateful we were to be blessed with another little baby.

So here we are... 11 weeks pregnant and no sign of miscarriage yet. We had another ultra sound last week and once again saw a heart beat and growing baby. Our little one even waved at us, showing off his/her 5 beautiful, little fingers. My heart immediately melted and my nerves were finally calmed. Our due date is May 25th.

Miracles do happen, you just have to have faith and listen to the guidence that our Heavenly Father gives us, then thank him every single day for that miracle.
